Product Description
Straight Wire has introduced an improved version of their highly acclaimed “Serenade” Interconnect. It offers a few technical advances over Serenade I & II including with the level of individual OFHC conductor compression and cold wrapped foam TPFE under foamed Polypropylene. By adjusting the conductor compression and dual insulations, Straight Wire was able to achieve greater dielectric and dissipation specs. Inner core material was changed to a softer TPE to better compliment the overall minimization of mechanical resonances.
Conductor group resistance remained the same while compression factors were modified.
The Serenade series cables are the “Baby Brother” to the highly acclaimed Crescendo series. Both of these designs incorporate Compressed Conductor Technology (CCT) in an advanced, low resistance helical design. CCT design combines the best attributes of solid-core and stranded conductor technology.
Cosmetically, Serenade 3 features a white anti-static fiber under a clear jacket like Serenade II. The jacket print is white to maintain clean “Maestro” look which blends into most light-colored decors. Black Delrin termination reduction caps offer mechanical advantages.
Serenade 3 interconnect delivers musical nuances and dynamic passages with great focus and clarity, bringing it closer to Crescendo 3 interconnect. The three-dimensional spatial traits are stunning. Mid bass weight and midrange coherence are clearly defined and improved in this near reference design. It engages the listener with tonal accuracy, spatial separation and lifelike timbre when connecting high resolution components.
