The Straightwire Virtuoso “R2″ series of interconnect was developed with NEW computer controlled
tensioning devices for the application of the special PTFE to achieve higher consistency and
uniformity than previously achieved. The non-conductive cores were modified from earlier
versions for mechanical issues. Changes in braid angles producing the dual symmetrical coax
design offer mechanical and electrical advantages.
Straight Wire has introduced an improved version of their highly acclaimed “VIRTUOSO”
Interconnect with significant advancements. The CDA 101 certified heavy silver plated
conductors are still configured in a dual Symmetrical Coax design with Super Microporous Foam
PTFE and anti-static, non- microphonic fiber. Braid angles for the 36 awg conductors have been
modified along with changes in the PTFE lap and thickness. The dual symmetrical coax was
engineered to perform superbly in either balanced or unbalanced terminations.
Virtuoso “R2” offers a focused presentation to reveal delicate nuances that may have gone
unnoticed in the past. Bold dynamic passages have greater impact and more lifelike decay.
It conveys complex musical structures in a clearly delineated presentation with truthful spacial
character. Upper registers are meticulously maintained without harshness or edginess.
Midrange aural information is melodic, enchanting and engaging. Lower frequencies are tight,
well controlled with proper decay.
