Product Description
Celebrating 50 years of innovation, the Bryston BP-19 2.0 Preamplifier combines a refined visual design with practical engineering improvements that enhance usability, consistency, and long-term reliability.
A LEGACY REFRESHED
This launch introduces a refreshed visual identity that reflects the enduring craftsmanship, trusted performance, and forward-thinking spirit that have defined our preamplifiers for generations.
Bryston BP-19 2.0 ANALOG CIRCUITS
The BP-19’s analog preamplifier is a byproduct of years of R&D that resulted in the development of an optimized discrete buffer amplifier capable of delivering a staggeringly low THD+N measurement at or below 0.0006%.
The analog signal path is a fully balanced design, using an array of very tightly matched components and a compact circuit design to achieve the lowest possible noise and superior common mode rejection. With the new balanced inputs and outputs we have been able to make significant improvements in performance in the BP-19.
The Major contributor is the fact that we can keep a fully balanced signal path throughout the signal path in the BP-19. In the past, a fully balanced signal path was difficult to achieve because you would need a volume pot with 4 tapers. With the volume control chips, this is no longer an issue. The new design does have a lower noise floor than previous design but it’s much better at suppressing common mode.
FACEPLATE
- Standardized 18-inch faceplate replaces previous 17-inch and 19-inch options with one unified size.
- Consistent fit across the preamp line creates cleaner symmetry in multi-unit installations.
- Original faceplate remains available for seamless integration with existing systems.
- Removable faceplate design supports easier service access, future custom finishes, and personalization options.
BP-19 ANALOG FOREVER
For the music enthusiast, this level of circuit sophistication means more life-like performances, more detail and more dimensionality from the recordings you love.
With support for up to 6 sources and a wide variety of inputs, users will certainly find the connectivity options they require for any system configuration.
BP-19 OPTIONAL PHONO
PHONO EQUALIZATION MODULES (OPTIONAL)
Bryston’s optional phono equalizer circuitry features highly accurate equalization, extremely low noise and distortion and provides headroom margins sufficient to prevent
overload from any known phono source.
If your turntable provides a separate ground lead system noise may be minimized by connecting it to the ground post adjacent to the phono inputs on the rear panel.
Moving Magnet Phono Cartridge Input (MM)
This is Bryston’s standard RIAA phono equalization stage. It is found in both the “-P” and “-MC” versions of the BP-19 preamp.
Input impedance is 47K ohms and sensitivity is 5mV.
